Peru Expedition 2026: Illapahuaca
In the month of June 2026, I travelled with One Million Earthkeepers to Peru, together with my family of Earthkeepers. A journey with the intention to connect with the Inca Ceq’ui System, the local communities of Incan descent and bring ourselves into ayni with the land, waters, huacas and peoples we would encounter, but mostly, to bring our beauty, love and powers there to serve the healing and re-empowerment of the energy system. This system is a web of huacas - places of power - distributed throughout the entire Inca empire that functioned as a grid to energetically govern the realm.
In this period I will share some of my experiences in Peru. Stories about the old places of power and temples we visited, what I sensed and received there as information about these places of power and their function for life as we know it.
Illapahuaca: the Intergalactic Spacestation.
In the tunnels of Illapahuaca
On the last day of the expedition we walked to the open fields near the retreat centre, where we were staying these days north of Cusco. Supposedly we were going to do closing exercises. But I felt something calling beyond the hill in front of us, and I asked one of our teachers: “What lies beyond this hill? I feel like we need to go there.” Both a twinkle and a calculating look appeared in the eyes of Roel Fredrix. “Yes,” he said “we can also go there, it is where we will find the Temple of Lightning.”
Connecting to one of the portals in Illapahuaca
Illapahuaca was mentioned a couple of times during this expedition, but it was not part of the itinerary. Roel Fredrix and Jacomina Bazen, the teachers of this expedition, heard of the place 3 years before as a local guide brought them there, and prior to the expedition they looked for it again with some difficulty, as it is not a very common place to visit for tourists.
Yet, they spoke about it with reverence and fascination. So I was very happy that on this last day, we decided to skip the exercises (and I was not alone in this ^_^ ) and walk further to this Temple of Lightning.
Illapa means lightning in the Quechua language and huaca means place of power. Lightning is considered a power that contains the spark of life. In Andean tradition, a child or person that is struck by lightning is said to be a future shaman and steps into a path of apprenticeship and study to become one of the Paqos, the healing priests of the Andes.
We walked along a small path until we reached a first small opening that gave entrance to the Temple of Lightning, which actually was a sort of big crack into the rock, like a cavity or small canyon-shaped opening. From here starts a myriad of paths, caves and walkways where it is very easy to get lost.
In this first place we tracked what this place was about and I received multiple answers:
The first thing I learned was that it is a place to charge the field. A receiving place of power where energy flows into the earth. I literally saw templekeepers under the ground in a cave besides a huge rock or crystal that was being charged by a light or energybeam coming from above, from the skies. A place where energy was collected, where energy was being charged and kept to spread into the energy system of the empire.
I was shown a squid reaching out with its tentacles into the lower world, the place of our collective subconscious. A temple from which you could travel underground, into the lower places of consciousness.
The temple felt like a much older site than a temple from the Inca culture. A place that has been a natural or cosmic place of power, meant to charge the earth with lifeforce energy, around which the Inca have built structures during their time to work with its energy and foster it.
A corner with several portals
Roel told us the story how in the past students got lost here, looking for the tunnels deep underground that would connect with Cusco, so to be careful and not get lost. In retrospect I could almost take that warning not only on the literal and physical level, but also on the mythical level.
The Intergalactic Spacestation
We moved on, and some of us went exploring tunnels, others sat down in cut out recesses or connect with these windows putting their third eye on their forehead inside the niche against the stone, a way of exchanging energy and travelling into the place.
I did so as well. I walked up to an alcove where I felt a pull and place my forehead against the cold stone. Immediately I felt I was being carried somewhere, I started crying, for some illogical reason, I felt home again. I wept, feeling this beautiful sensation of being home flowing through me, whatever home may be or whatever me having this sensation meant. It was simply a beautiful experience.
Then I was pulled forward travelling through a tunnel, like a wormhole, and when I exited the tunnel I saw three stars lined up, Orion’s belt. Slowly I drifted to one of the stars and entered it where a big luminous space opened up to me. The radiant room had bright faded light and contained a stairwell and walls with books. In the space I met a long luminous being, who told me this is the Cosmic Library, and it made me understand that the beings related to the constellation of Orion, are wisdom keepers. A dialogue took shape:
What can I receive as wisdom?
“You already know much and yet you know little.”
This answer made me think, since it says much and nothing at the same time, and yet, it was totally true.
What is this place about?
“It is an intergalactic travel-station with gateways to many places. We guided them there so you can work with us.”
Since I have worked a lot with the Pleiades star system and lately I have been sensing that other star systems are about to come on my path, I wanted to understand what their relationship is or how it works.
What about the Pleiades and other star systems? Do you work together when it comes to shepherding the earth’s life?
“That is why we have a sacred cosmic council.”
How do you align energies? (Something similar to a laugh resonated)
“We are all one energy.”
I offered energy as a way of thanking the being and the place, and I withdrew, giving me much to ponder upon, and to revisit this place in my meditation.
In my work as a shaman and in the work with temples it is common to travel with my consciousness to other dimensions as a way to study life, the universe and the world of energy. Communicating with beings from the cosmos isn’t strange to me, neither with the cosmic council whom I have met in earlier ceremonies, initiations and moments where I journeyed or was guided in meditation. Also the beings of Orion I had met once during a workshop in Barcelona, yet it still was a surprise to be there again.
Connecting to the earthly nature spirits
From Upper World to Lower World
This place, the Temple of Lightning, has so many portals, gateways, openings to other worlds, other frequencies. I heard my colleagues afterward share all different kinds of stories. It really was a place from which you could travel with your consciousness in all kinds of directions.
After we had tracked and journeyed in one spaces with various niches I asked if we could continue. We encountered a cave leading to a very long tunnel with several sidetunnels. At the entrance of the tunnel, I noticed a rock lying on top of a hole, similar to something we have experienced in another temple we visited. I openen the hole and it was as if I opened the heavens…
I called the others and each of us prayed to the place and the nature beings present, we left and offering and then stood on top of the hole, connecting with the energy.
When I stepped on top, it was as if I could feel the crystalline energies of the heavens, in the earth. One of the most pure and clear energies came from below, very high frequency energy. I felt the presence of elfish, fairy like nature spirits, very pure in their energy and protectors of the temple.
In my roamings around the place, I also encountered entrances to the lower world, where the energy was much more dense, but not necessarily heavy as you might imagine with the lower world. It wasn’t draining energy, nor making you heavy or expressing eery feelings, but dense like rock and mountain energy, like the energy of the underworld where different kinds of energies and wisdom reside.
